Shambhala Mountain Center

Since its inception in 2006, the Foundation has made grants totaling $850,000 to support the development of Shambhala Mountain Center, a renowned 600-acre meditation and yoga retreat center in northern Colorado.  Learn More »

In July of 2008, The Sakyong Foundation launched a $200,000 matching grant campaign to benefit urban meditation centers throughout the international Shambhala community. Learn More »

$250,000 Matching Grant for Shambhala’s Central Organization

With a generous donation, in 2007, the Foundation launched a $250,000 matching campaign and successfully granted over $500,000 to Shambhala’s central organization. Learn More »

The Time Capsule Project

In 1975 Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche requested that a high tech time capsule be constructed to house his teaching legacy. Since his passing, that legacy has become recognized internationally as one of the most significant contributions to the continuity of the Tibetan Buddhist spiritual tradition into the 21st century. Learn More »
